Jackson's death was homicide, possible criminal charges

The county coroner's department in Los Angeles said in a statement that propofol, a powerful anesthetic and sedative drugs lorazepam wereprimarily responsible for the death of Jackson. Other drugs detected in his system were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine and ephedrine.

The coroner said the full toxicology report remains on standby at the request of the Police Department of Los Angeles and prosecution of the County of Los Angeles.

Officials launched the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the singer of Thriller, who suffered a cardiac arrest at his mansion in Los Angeles.

The research has focused on drugs that Jackson had in his body and doctors who cared for the singer when he died, particularly his personal doctor Conrad Murray.

Orders used to record Murray's office suggested that the practitioner is under investigation for murder.
